SEOUL, South Korea, January 18, 2023 – Suprema, a global leader in access control and biometrics, participated in ‘intersec’, the largest security exhibition in the Middle East, which was held in Dubai from January 17 to 19.
At the event, Suprema showcased its various access control solutions, including the 100% contactless BioStation 3 terminal, flagship facial recognition terminal FaceStation F2, and QR code/fingerprint recognition terminal X-Station 2. Suprema also gave demonstrations highlighting the BioStar 2 platform’s capability to integrate access control for up to 1,000 doors and elevators, and scale to enterprise levels through installing controllers and modules.
The Middle East region has a high demand for facial recognition and mobile access control solutions. BioStation 3 satisfies this need with an AI processor called an NPU (Neural Processing Unit), which provides the industry’s highest level of performance in facial recognition. BioStation 3 is also compatible with various access authentication options, including QR codes, barcodes, mobile access, and RFID cards. At the booth, Suprema demonstrated how BioStation 3 could authenticate different QR codes for visitors and members, and manages access, time and attendance for each user through the BioStar 2 security platform. Participants were also able to experience BioStation 3’s seamless communication features through VoIP Intercom and RTSP (Real Time Streaming Protocol)–based video monitoring.
“Suprema has a high market share in the Middle East, having secured customers throughout various verticals, including banks, government organizations, hospitals, schools, and residences. The event helped us enhance engagement with existing customers and emphasize to new and potential customers the strengths of Suprema’s innovative technologies, especially AI and Mobile, including mobile credential and QR code authentication,” said Suprema Inc.
